Description
Perfect for a mantle, shelf, or other vintage/rustic fixture… Face it the way prefer. Each side is different expect stains, gouges, saw marks, hole though mantle or even insect damage. This beam has been lightly planned to remove splinters and smooth out, then stained. Planing exposes new wood, the old dry wood soaks up more stain making for a one of a kind contrasting look. The mantle is stained in Early American stain.
Notice the END GRAINS. This is a SOLID beam, not a box made to LOOK like a beam.
I can cut to desired length and square off ends if you desire. Just let me know when you purchase.
The wood beam is from electric utility lines that were erected in 50’s. These held the electrical lines powering a coal mine in Western Kentucky. The mine closed 9 years ago.
